The Women Can Build LatAm Erasmus+ project took center stage at the event “Feminization and Energy: Shedding Light on an Uncomfortable Reality“, held in Getafe on March 7, 2024. Organized by the Municipal Land and Housing Company (EMSV), the event coincided with International Women’s Day and brought together experts and organizations to discuss gender inequalities in the energy and construction sectors.

During her address, Matilde Daganzo, International Projects Officer at Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, highlighted the initiatives led by Women Can Build LatAm to promote the integration of women into technical trades across Spain, Italy, Argentina, and Chile.

Key topics included the systemic barriers women face in traditionally male-dominated industries, the benefits of diverse teams, and strategies to increase female participation in sustainable energy projects. The project was recognized for its transformative approach and its role in driving cultural and structural change within the industry.

The participation of Women Can Build LatAm reaffirms its commitment to gender equity, underscoring its role as a catalyst for change in building a more inclusive and sustainable society.
