During the Social Forum at Construtec 24, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción showcased key advances in the inclusion of women in the construction industry, highlighting its role as coordinator of the Women Can Build LatAm initiative.
Rosalía Sánchez, Communications Officer for International Projects at Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, provided insights into this initiative, which promotes training and employment for women in construction, breaking gender barriers in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
Co-funded by the European Union, Women Can Build started in 2017 as a project to foster equal opportunities in Europe. Now, in its second edition –Women Can Build LatAm– the initiative brings these successful practices to Latin America. This effort aims to transfer European career guidance tools and protocols, specifically designed for women, to countries such as Chile and Argentina, creating a transoceanic network of collaboration.
