The Women’s Commission of the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) has obtained funding to extend the programme “Building Together”, an initiative that seeks to promote the inclusion of women in the construction sector. This programme, carried out in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), has brought together leaders of CChC member companies to share experiences and promote actions to strengthen gender diversity in the industry.

The president of the Women’s Commission, Nathalie Dubois, highlighted the progress made in the incorporation of women in works, union positions and senior management positions in a sector historically dominated by men. During 2022, more than 50 initiatives were carried out at the national level and in the 18 regional chambers, reflecting the guild’s commitment to gender equality. The continuity of “Construyendo a la Par” will allow to continue generating spaces for more women to integrate and contribute to the development of construction in Chile.
