The Women in Construction Corporation (MUCC) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2019 by a group of female civil builders from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Its main objective is to make visible and empower the role of women in the construction industry, a sector traditionally dominated by men. MUCC is made up of women from various professions related to construction and has grown significantly, extending to other regions and incorporating professionals from different areas of the industry.

MUCC’s mission is to promote and facilitate the professional and personal development of women in the construction sector, also supporting those without professional training, in order to eliminate the gaps that limit their growth. To achieve this, the corporation works on several fundamental pillars, such as generating alliances to encourage schoolgirls to study careers related to construction, training women in trades in the sector, supporting the retention of female talent in companies and encouraging the participation of women in senior management positions.
