The National Confederation of Construction (CNC), together with the trade unions CCOO del Hábitat and UGT FICA, have reached a pioneering agreement in the sector to defend the rights of the LGTBI community, by incorporating a set of measures into the 7th General Collective Agreement for the Construction Sector aimed at ensuring real equality and non-discrimination.
The objective is to promote diverse, safe, and inclusive working environments and to comply with the regulatory development of Law 4/2023 on the real and effective equality of trans people and the guarantee of the rights of LGTBI+ individuals, which requires companies with more than 50 employees to include effective mechanisms for equality and non-discrimination in their collective agreements.
