Within the framework of the ‘Cimientos para el Empleo’ project, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción has organised a series of vocational guidance workshops aimed at educational centres, designed as awareness-raising actions to encourage early career aspirations.
These sessions explicitly incorporate a gender perspective, with the aim of making women’s contribution to the sector visible and inspiring interest among students -particularly girls- in construction-related professions.
The workshops are structured into three blocks that combine reflection, engagement with professional role models, and practical learning.
- During the first block, students take part in a collective reflection activity on the role of construction in improving and transforming the spaces we inhabit, as well as its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals.
- In the second block, the group meets with a female professional role model, who shares her career journey, the values that guide her daily work, and the skills she has developed throughout her professional life.
- Finally, in the third block, students discover the dynamism of a construction site and the different professional profiles involved through “Un mazo de construcción”, an educational resource created by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción.
