The Women Can Build LatAm initiative, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, has officially begun with the goal of improving women’s training and integration into the construction sector in Latin America and Europe.

Coordinated by Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, the initiative brings together five additional organisations: Spain (Madrid City Council Employment Agency), Italy (Professional Training Institute for Construction Workers in Bologna), Chile (RedMaestra and Pontifical Catholic University of Chile), and Argentina (Eurosur Foundation for Cooperation between Latin America and the European Union).

This project builds on the success of Women Can Build, led by Fundación Laboral between 2017 and 2020, aiming to expand its impact by transferring best practices from Europe to Latin America.

The core objective of Women Can Build LatAm is to facilitate the transfer of training and employment knowledge while introducing Latin American countries -specifically Chile and Argentina- to European tools and protocols for improving women’s employability in the construction sector. Additionally, the initiative seeks to strengthen the capacity of institutions and vocational education systems, positioning them as key drivers of sustainable socio-economic development.
