The Women Can Build LatAm consortium aims to transform the construction landscape by promoting gender equality and facilitating the integration of women into this traditionally male-dominated sector.

As part of this mission, the Erasmus+ project has outlined several key actions, including:

• A Status Quo report assessing the current state of the construction sector in participating Latin American countries.
• An Action Plan focused on professional training and the employment of women in construction.
• The Purple Book of Women in Construction, a publication that will highlight female success stories, challenges, and achievements in the industry.
• A virtual compendium showcasing best practices to promote gender equality and inclusion in the workplace.

Additionally, the project seeks to build an international network of alliances to enhance its impact, while implementing promotional and visibility initiatives to highlight the role and capabilities of women in construction.

These efforts will be carried out through a collaborative methodology, incorporating interviews, discussion groups, expert panels, and workshops with women, educators, and construction industry representatives. A dedicated virtual space will also be created to share experiences and best practices, further strengthening the commitment to a more inclusive and equitable sector.

Women Can Build LatAm stands as a leading example of how collaboration and teamwork can drive meaningful change—not only advancing diversity in construction but also fostering the cultural transformation the industry needs for the future.
