International Women Build Week is an annual event organised by Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build programme, in partnership with Lowe’s. This event takes place during the week leading up to International Women’s Day and brings women from around the world together to highlight the need for safe and affordable housing. It also provides participants with the tools necessary to empower and educate themselves in skills related to home repair and restoration.

Since 1991, the Women Build programme has brought together volunteers from diverse backgrounds to build stronger and safer communities. The partnership with Lowe’s has been instrumental in helping to build hundreds of homes in more than 300 communities in the United States. International Women’s Building Week continues this tradition, providing opportunities for women to become actively involved in building and renovating homes, thereby promoting gender equality and strengthening local communities.
