The Women Can Build LatAm project strengthens its institutional engagement in Chile through dialogue with key political and strategic stakeholders. In this context, on 22 January 2026, a meeting took place between the Universidad Católica de Temuco (UCT), a project partner, and Claudia Gintersdorfer, European Union Ambassador to Chile and representative to the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), during which the main progress and results of the initiative were presented.
During the meeting, Women Can Build LatAm was presented as a reference framework for the promotion of gender equality in the construction sector, highlighting its contribution to the design and integration of gender-responsive action plans across institutional, educational and public policy contexts.
The meeting with the European Union representation made it possible to underline the international dimension of the project and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as with European priorities in the areas of gender equality and decent work. It also highlighted the value of collaboration between universities, international organisations and sector stakeholders in advancing structural and sustainable transformations.
