Fundación Laboral de la Construcción brings the situation of women professionals in the sector closer to the Canarian public.

Within the framework of the ‘Cimientos para el Empleo’ project, on 26 March 2025 a working table titled ‘A sector of opportunities for women’ was held at the Training Centre of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción in Las Palmas.

Businesswomen and professionals from the sector, technical staff from the Canary Islands Employment Service, representatives from the City Council, teachers and students from the Fundación Laboral, as well as staff from the Integrated Vocational Training Centres (CIFP), participated in this session.
During the debate table, participants collectively reflected on their experiences regarding the specific barriers women face in entering the construction sector. The main objective was to identify these obstacles and define strategies, actions, and resources that facilitate both the training and employment inclusion of women in the sector. This space encouraged the exchange of experiences and knowledge, thus contributing to the building of collaborative and effective solutions.
