On 15 July, the Institute for Vocational Training of Construction Workers in Bologna (IIPLE) hosted an information seminar titled ‘Gender Equality: Solid Foundations for Building the Future’. The event, part of the ‘Women Can Build LatAm’ project—co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme—saw IIPLE participate with partners from Spain, Chile and Argentina.

The meeting aimed to advance gender equality and inclusion in both training and employment, welcoming numerous students, workers and company representatives from the construction field.

Project coordinators presented the objectives, activities and results achieved to date. Special attention was given to good practices and successful models implemented in Europe and South American countries, illustrated through video testimonials from women.

This event also marks an important step in transforming the culture of the construction sector—professional training with a gender perspective, raising awareness among key players, and developing new synergies.
